Add a new custom package size

One of the most useful features in the App is the ability to add custom package sizes, ensuring accurate shipping quotes and optimised logistics for your products.

Why Custom Package Sizes Matter

Each shipment’s cost depends heavily on package dimensions and weight. Emirates calculates shipping charges based on either actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is greater. That’s why having accurate box sizes is crucial — it prevents under-quoting at checkout and ensures smooth shipping.

How to Add a New Package Size in the Emirates App

Follow these steps to create a new package size in the Emirates Shipping App:

Go to Settings >>>>Accounts >>>>Package

Scroll to the Add New Package section and enter the required details:

Package Name (e.g. Medium Box, 3kg Satchel)

Length, Width, Height (in cm)

Maximum Weight Capacity of the package or tick use order weight

Click Add Package

Your new package is now available and can be selected for automatic assignment or used manually when booking a shipment.
